BRYANT, SD – Stephanie Sauder is excited to announce she is a Republican candidate for South Dakota’s House of Representatives in District 4. Sauder’s story is the same as the majority of those she will represent. She is a lifelong South Dakotan, experiencing life as a fifth-generation farmer. She obtained her high school and college degrees in the state, taught in the South Dakota public school system for 30 years and is now the publisher and editor of the Bryant Dakotan, a small-town, small-business weekly newspaper. Steph is a former mayor of Bryant but most proud of the fact that she’s a spouse, parent, grandparent, friend and neighbor.
“I’ve always loved South Dakota. It’s where my husband Jerry and I chose to raise our kids and live our life because our roots were firmly planted here. We have been so blessed to grow up and live in a state that values the life and pursuits of not just our family, but every individual.
“I was raised to be a servant leader. One of my first experiences in politics was as a Page in the South Dakota Legislature and, after gaining a lifetime of experiences, I know I’m ready to return, this time as a State Representative. Given the opportunity to be the representative who brings the voice of the people to the table in Pierre would be an honor for me; what matters to you matters to me. I believe South Dakota is the best state in the nation and I’m willing to do what I can to maintain that excellence and, like the 4-H pledge says, to make the best better.”
Stephanie encourages everyone to contact her with ideas and feedback on the needs of the communities in District 4. She can be reached at SauderForHouse@gmail.com and will be at area events and meeting folks door to door before the June 7th primary. She humbly requests prayers and physical and financial help in the coming months to support her candidacy.
